New Flow Assurance Sensing Capabilities
Teledyne Oil & Gas UK has expanded its capabilities in the Cormon flow assurance line of sensor solutions. The Teledyne Oil & Gas Pressure Temperature Sensor is capable of the most demanding high pressure/high temperature deepwater service, providing a reliable, high-integrity solution which complements Teledyne’s extensive range of flow assurance and interconnect solutions. Pressure and temperature measurements are made in-line using silicon-based piezoresistive technology. This key technology has been field-tested and provides high accuracy pressure (<0.025% FS) and temperature (<0.3% CR) measurements between -40°C and 180°C. Output options include RS485, Profibus, CANbus, and 4-20mA. The sensor is ISO 13628-6, API 6A and API 17D qualified, and designed for 15,000 PSI high pressure/high temperature service in depths up to 3,000m. Dual pressure and temperature versions are available where redundancy is required. PT Sensor Data sheet
Another novel intrusive sensor – the Teledyne Oil & Gas Sand Erosion Particle Detector – is available for use in deepwater high pressure/high temperature subsea wellheads and manifolds. This sensor uniquely combines embedded DSP passive acoustic 1MHz bandwidth piezoelectric technology with nano-ohmic resistance sensing, which can instantaneously detect and characterise solids entrained within hydrocarbon process streams. The combination of nanometer metal loss detection and real-time spectral acoustic signatures, generated on a single defined target area on the sensor, provides instant sand event detection and the actual solids erosivity response. This unique configuration enables the characterisation and trending of the reservoir-produced solids in terms of quantity, particle sizing, and actual erosive response. The acoustic sensor is coupled to the thick erosion sensor face but not the pipe, providing a high signal-to-noise ratio. SEPD Data sheet
